Advanced Physical Therapy Associates Pediatric Program provides comprehensive evaluation and specialized treatment of infants and children.

Developmental assessments are used to determine sensory motor abilities, and intervention programs are provided when appropriate.

We emphasize child-centered care and encourage family involvement. We are dedicated to providing the appropriate, personalized care needed for all of our pediatric patients.

The Leader

The Advanced Pediatric Program is under the direction of Eleanor Campbell, PT, who has 25 years of professional experience. In addition to being a NJ board-licensed physical therapist, Eleanor is specially trained in the treatment of neurological and orthopedic pediatric patients. She is also a certified school therapist, and a mother of two, which helps account for her ability to relate so effectively to both her patients and their parents.

As program director, Eleanor has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence at all levels, and has earned the ongoing trust and respect of students, parents, school officials and physicians alike.

The Pediatric Program

• Individual, one-on-one care and attention.

• Our own warm water pool for aquatic therapy.
• Our own fully-equipped gym featuring Cybex/Eagle equipment as well as treadmill, balance trainer, and reciprocal gait trainer.
• One of the only Lite Gait Body Weight Support Training (BWST) systems in Union County, Lite. Gait is used to initiate ambulation or to refine ambulation skills.
• Ongoing consultation opportunities with pediatric patient team members; doctors, parents, teachers and other therapists.

School Programs

Motor skills assessments are provided to determine the need for physical therapy which is

educationally appropriate for each individual child.

Physical therapy goals that are specific, flexible, realistic and challenging are established through

open communication with students' child study teams, parents, and physician.

We work directly with school systems, officials, and health administrators in developing students'

I.E.P. or 504 plan, and ensure appropriate participation in periodic I.E.P. reviews.
