The Upper Extremity Rehilbilitation Clinic at Advanced Physical Therapy Associates provides therapy exclusively for individuals with a hand or upper extremity disability. Disability may be secondary to repetitive strain injuries, arthritis, sports injuries or trauma injuries including; fractures, amputations, tendon and nerve injuries.

 APTA's Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Clinic provides specialized therapy for the upper extremity offering comprehensive evaluation and state-of-the art treatment. Treatment is designed to address each patient's individual needs. Specialized treatment may include prescriptive therapeutic exercise, manual soft tissue and joint mobilization, wound care, custom splint fabrication, and postural and ergonomic education.

APTA employs only Certified Hand Therapists to ensure the most highly specialized treatment of upper extremity conditions. Hand certification requires extensive clinical experience, advanced continuing education and independent study. PT's and OT's who have become certified hand therapists are recognized as experts in the treatment of upper extremity conditions.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes both physical and occupational therapists which uniquely allows us to provide the most comprehensive evaluation and treatment of the entire upper extremity.

Our patients have a disability or injury to the upper extremity (hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder).

Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, fractures and tendon or nerve injuries.
